Job Summary
Replace and repair broken drill equipment, hoe-rams, skids, and steers while performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Execute field services and repairs in garage and job site environments using hand and power tools, coordinating with the Equipment Manager for parts and supplies. Complete accurate maintenance documentation and actively identify safety hazards to ensure compliance with all company safety policies. Maintain a good driving record and DOT Medical Card while working outside on uneven surfaces in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must have own hand tools up to 1 5/8 or be willing to invest in tools as needed
- Must have good driving record
- Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass ATF screenings
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position
- Physical ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs., 30 - 40% of the time, with stooping and bending 30 - 40% of the time
- Physical ability to work outside on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather environments
- High school or technical school graduate
- ASE certified in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance
- At least 3-5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience
- Self-starter
