Job Summary
Repair and maintain drill equipment, hoe-rams, skids steers, and various other machinery in garage and field environments. Replace broken components, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Operate hand and power tools safely, coordinate parts and supplies with the Equipment Manager, and complete accurate maintenance documentation. Follow all safety policies, identify hazards, and participate in equipment meetings. Requires own hand tools, valid driving record, DOT Medical Card, and ability to lift 50–100 lbs. in varying weather conditions. Pay is DOE plus a company vehicle and gas card.
Required Qualifications
- Must have own hand tools up to 1 5/8 or be willing to invest in tools as needed
- Must have good driving record
- Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass ATF screenings
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position
- Physical ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs., 30 - 40% of the time, with stooping and bending 30 - 40% of the time
- Physical ability to work outside on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather environments
- High school or technical school graduate
- ASE certified in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance
- At least 3-5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience
- Self-starter
- Ability to work with limited supervision
