Job Summary
Repair and maintain drill equipment, hoe-rams, skids steers and various other equipment, both in a garage environment and at job sites in the surrounding region. Responsibilities include replacing and repairing broken equipment, performing PMs, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, following safety policies, performing field services and repairs, coordinating with Equipment Manager on parts and supplies, using tools safely, proactively identifying safety hazards, maintaining required maintenance documents/records, and participating in Equipment Manager meetings. Candidate should possess own tools, a valid driving record, ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card, pass ATF screenings, and lift up to 50-100 lbs with physical stamina to work outside in varying conditions. Ideal candidates are high school/technical school graduates, ASE certified in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance, with 3-5 years of relevant experience, and strong mechanical, hydraulics/pneumatics, diesel, welding, electrical, and PLC skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must have own hand tools up to 1 5/8 or be willing to invest in tools as needed
- Must have good driving record
- Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass ATF screenings
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position
- Physical ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs., 30 - 40% of the time, with stooping and bending 30 - 40% of the time
- Physical ability to work outside on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather environments
- High school or technical school graduate; ASE certified in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance
- 3-5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience
- Core skills in mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics, diesel motors, welding, electrical systems, and PLCs
- Military service background appreciated but not required
