Job Summary
Mid-level Heavy Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain drill equipment, hoe-rams, skid steers, and various equipment at a garage and at job sites within the region. Responsibilities include replacing/repairing equipment, performing PMs, troubleshooting motors, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components, following safety policies, performing field services, coordinating with the Equipment Manager for parts and supplies, using hand/power tools safely, identifying safety hazards, and completing maintenance records. Candidates should possess own tools (up to 1 5/8), a valid driving record, ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card, and pass ATF screenings. The role seeks ASE-certified automotive or heavy equipment maintenance expertise with 3-5 years of experience; military service background is welcomed. Required Qualifications
- Own hand tools up to 1 5/8 or willingness to invest in tools
- Good driving record
- DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass ATF screenings
- Ability to perform all essential functions
- Physical ability to lift 50-100 lbs., 30-40% of the time, with stooping and bending 30-40% of the time
- Physical ability to work outside on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather environments
- High school or technical school graduate (ASE certified preferred)
- 3-5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience
- Core skills in mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, diesel motors, welding, electrical systems, PLC
- Discipline and safety standards
- Military service background considered favorable
