Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing construction equipment from multiple manufacturers; diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools; perform preventative maintenance; document service records; field service on-site; adhere to safety policies; own tools; read schematics; CDL preferred; lift 50+ lbs; outdoor environments; Monday–Friday, full-time with possible weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in diesel mechanics or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
- Proficiency with hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying outdoor conditions
