Job Summary
Perform maintenance, minor repairs, and major disassembly on aircraft rescue vehicles, fire apparatus, and material handling equipment per OEM and NFPA standards. Diagnose and repair brakes, suspension, wheels, and steering systems while adhering to technical manuals and lube orders. Maintain operational vehicle maintenance schedules, record daily personnel attendance, and submit required reports. Train employees on job tasks and mentor staff to ensure efficient performance. Requires five years of vehicle maintenance experience, ASE certifications, and EVT Level III Fire Apparatus certification. Full-time day shift in Silverdale, Washington, with a salary of $51.75 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of vehicle maintenance experience
- ASE (T-1 through T-7, and L-2) certification or the ability to obtain one
- EVT (F-1 through F-6 and A-1 through A-3) Level III Fire Apparatus and ARFF vehicle technician certification or the ability to obtain one
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time
- A valid state driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access
- Must be a U.S. citizen
