Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair large off-road construction equipment including pot carriers, loaders, material handlers, fork trucks, and cranes in an industrial environment. Complete diagnostics and modifications according to OEM specifications by interpreting technical manuals, illustrations, and schematics. Utilize diesel and gasoline engine knowledge, hydraulic systems expertise, and welding skills to fix heavy machinery. Work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed while passing drug and alcohol screens.
Required Qualifications
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic experienced in repairing large, off-road, construction type equipment in an industrial environment
- Must be self-starter
- Ability to complete diagnostics
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Ability to complete repairs to heavy off-road equipment such as pot carriers, loaders, material handlers, fork trucks, and cranes
- Must be able to understand technical manuals
- Must be able to understand illustrations
- Must be able to understand specifications
- Must be able to understand diagrams
- Must be able to understand schematics
- Must be able to make repairs and modifications according to OEM specifications and procedures
- Ability to work shifts
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to work holidays
- Ability to pass drug/alcohol screens
