Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations while minimizing downtime. Responsibilities include inspecting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools; performing routine and preventative maintenance; repairing or replacing worn components including hydraulic and electrical systems (12V/24V); performing welding and metal fabrication repairs; coordinating maintenance schedules with managers to reduce downtime; maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records using CMMS; ensuring all work complies with safety standards and procedures. Requires 8–10 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment; strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, cylinders, and electrical systems; experience with welding and metal fabrication; ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints; ability to work independently and in a team; safety-focused in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Required Qualifications
