Job Summary
Oversee heavy equipment maintenance operations in a shop setting as the shop manager. Schedule and assign tasks, train employees, monitor daily work, maintain records, assist with maintenance and repairs, keep the shop and equipment tidy, enforce safety policies, ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations (DOT and OSHA), review timecards, conduct weekly safety and manager meetings, provide updates on repairs/parts orders, ensure deadlines are met, and operate shop machinery. Requires strong leadership, a detailed understanding of the shop industry, teamwork, problem-solving, and familiarity with John Deere, Caterpillar, and Komatsu equipment.
