Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Field Technician based in Etobicoke, ON, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of construction equipment (earthmoving, aerial, and compact machinery) on client sites. The role emphasizes independent work in a fast-paced, on-the-go environment with occasional shop-based repairs, on-call rotations, and overtime. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections and tests, documenting inspections and work orders, adhering to Health and Safety policies, and delivering high-quality customer service. Requires a minimum of 4 years of mechanical experience with heavy construction equipment, tooling, and proficiency with diagnostic software; possession of a Valid G-Class license and ability to lift 50 lbs. Asset considerations include Heavy Equipment Technician License (421A or 310T).
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of mechanical experience working on heavy construction equipment
- Valid G-Class driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory abstract
- Must have a full set of tools
- Proficient with diagnostic software and modern repair tools
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
