Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) responsible for maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment. Use laptops/tablets to manage work orders, track service intervals, and diagnose issues from multiple makes/models. Travel to customer job sites as needed; assist in training lower-level technicians; maintain accurate documentation; assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts; adhere to OSHA requirements; on-call with overtime. Year-round OEM training provided; strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and using diagnostic tools to keep the fleet operating efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- A 10-panel drug screen is required
- Safety-sensitive position; background check may be required
