Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) at EquipmentShare in Miami, FL. Maintain and repair a variety of rental and customer-owned heavy equipment and aerial lifts, diagnose issues, pull data from the fleet, and document work orders using laptops/tablets. Travel to customer job sites when required, assist in training lower-level technicians, adhere to OSHA requirements, and participate in on-call scheduling with compensation. Role involves independent judgment, on-site field service, parts ordering, and ensuring safe, professional operation of service vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
