Job Summary
Maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, aerial lifts, and customer-owned equipment at a rental facility and at customer sites. Field technicians diagnose issues, perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel repairs, order parts, track service intervals, and use laptops/tablets to access data. They may train lower-level technicians, maintain work orders and documentation, assist with equipment pick-up/delivery, and travel to customer sites as needed. OSHA knowledge is preferred. Candidates must own tools, have advanced mechanical aptitude, and possess experience with construction equipment; a valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle (21+) are required. The role includes on-call scheduling and potential overtime, with year-round OEM training and a safety-conscious, team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
