Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) at EquipmentShare is responsible for maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer-owned equipment; diagnose issues using data from multiple makes/models; create and monitor work orders, track service intervals, and maintain documentation; travel to customer job sites as needed; assist in training lower-level technicians; adhere to OSHA requirements; operate with a high degree of independent judgment; on-call and overtime opportunities available; year-round OEM training and use of tech/tools (laptops/tablets) to support field service; strong emphasis on safety, customer service, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- Must own tools
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Drug screen required
- Safety-sensitive position
