Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic)

Job Summary
Field Technician to maintain and repair heavy construction equipment and aerial lifts at EquipmentShare’s Cape Girardeau facility. Responsibilities include creating and tracking work orders, diagnosing issues from data across multiple makes/models, ordering parts, maintaining service records, assisting with equipment pickup/delivery, and traveling to customer sites as needed. Requires advanced mechanical aptitude, knowledge of construction machinery, ability to interpret schematics, customer-service skills, and safe work practices. Training on OEM systems provided; OSHA familiarity preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or trade school certificate preferred
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Safe work practices and OSHA awareness
- Ability to operate tools and diagnostic equipment
- Willingness to travel to customer job sites (Field Mechanic)
- Drug screen required (10 panel)
- Background check required
