Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic)

Job Summary
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer-owned heavy equipment and aerial lifts. Create, assign, and monitor work orders while tracking service intervals and ordering parts using our proprietary T3 platform. Travel to customer job sites when required to perform maintenance on equipment and ensure the service vehicle remains clean and professional. Assist in training lower-level technicians and maintain accurate electronic documentation of all work performed daily. Practice safe job procedures and apply independent judgment to determine root causes and corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be clean shaven in order to enter worksites for EquipmentShare customers who have this requirement
- This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen
- Employment is contingent on passing a background check
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
