Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic)

Job Summary
Conduct maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer-owned heavy equipment and aerial lifts. Diagnose issues by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models to determine root causes and corrective actions. Use laptops and tablets to create, assign, and monitor work orders while tracking service intervals and ordering parts. Assist in training lower-level technicians and maintain electronic documentation of daily work. Travel to customer job sites when required for repairs, ensuring the service vehicle remains clean and professional. Practice safe job practices and adhere to OSHA requirements. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with overtime pay available after 40 hours and on-call rotation with additional compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment
- Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams

- High School diploma
- Trade school certificate
- Experience in field service

- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- At least 21 years old
- Must be able to move freely

- Must be able to bend freely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be clean shaven
- Must pass a 10 panel drug screen
- Must pass a background check
