Job Summary
The Heavy Equipment Field Technician is responsible for completing assigned jobs efficiently while providing high quality repair service on equipment to meet customer needs. Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment problems, performing critical repairs and adjustments, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, general knowledge of various mechanical systems, and ability to utilize diagnostic tools. Knowledge of relevant software and willingness to travel up to 40% are also essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be at least 21 years old to complete required assessments.
- Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
Desired Qualifications
- General knowledge of engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems and components.
- General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
- Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software and Order processing systems.
