Job Summary
As a Heavy Equipment Field Service Diesel Technician, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on customer equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting and determining the extent of repairs, using diagnostic equipment, repairing diesel engines and related systems, maintaining service vehicle records, and complying with safety protocols. Candidates should possess mechanical aptitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate industry-associated heavy equipment, with a minimum of 4 years experience in the field.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of industry experience
- Knowledge of complex hydraulics, electrical, computer and mechanical systems
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment safely
- Valid, active driver's license
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to clear driver screenings
Desired Qualifications
- Course work from accredited trade school, college or university with emphasis in mechanics, hydraulics, and automotive electronics is desirable.
Additional Requirements
- Must be 21-years-old or older
- Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR § 391.15.
