Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment at customer sites while maintaining daily inspection logs and legible CAT service reports. Transmit photos and timecards via email, manage customer records and credit card receipts for accounting, and communicate repair status and parts concerns directly to clients. Teach and coach other field technicians, promote the company to customers, and make on-site warranty determinations. Safely rig components, remove and install major equipment parts, and maintain tooling in compliance with MSHA and OSHA regulations. Requires 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, a Class D license, and 75-100% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Relevant CAT related courses
- 3+ years' experience servicing heavy equipment
- DOT Health Card
- Class D Driver's License
- MSHA License
- 1+ years administrative/clerical experience
- 3+ years customer service experience
- 3+ years sales experience
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Intermediate Knowledge of DBS
- Intermediate Knowledge of ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW
- Ability to work independently with little or no direction
- Well-rounded knowledge of CAT equipment
- 75%- 100% travel
- Must possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently
