Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment at customer sites while maintaining daily inspection logs and legible CAT service reports. Transmit photos, timecards, and repair data via email, manage credit card receipts for accounting, and maintain accurate customer records. Safely rig components, remove and install major equipment parts, and read electrical and hydraulic schematics to fix issues the first time. Coach other technicians, promote company services, and make on-site warranty determinations communicated to dispatchers. Travel 75% to 100% of the time with little direction, working in loud environments both indoors and outdoors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Relevant CAT related courses
- 3+ years' experience servicing heavy equipment
- DOT Health Card
- Class D Driver's License
- MSHA License
- 1+ years administrative/clerical experience
- 3+ years customer service experience
- 3+ years sales experience
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Intermediate Knowledge of DBS
- Intermediate Knowledge of ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW
- Ability to work independently with little or no direction
- Well-rounded knowledge of CAT equipment
- 75%- 100% travel
- Must possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently
