Job Summary
Perform required equipment lubrication and maintenance operations at client job sites, inspecting machinery and adhering strictly to CAT Lube and Maintenance Guides. Assist lead technicians in planning jobs, analyzing client requirements, and determining scope while ensuring trucks are topped with oil and emptied of waste at shift end. Write accurate equipment condition reports, process oil cards, and maintain good client relations to support corporate marketing objectives. Travel to remote locations as needed, work overtime, and provide on-the-job training. Maintain company equipment in clean, orderly condition and report repair needs to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- At least six months of related experience in a similar role and environment
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
- Keep safety as a priority in the work environment
- Ability to successfully complete a skills assessment
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent client service skills
- Own and maintain required personal tools
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Maintain current driver's license with valid CDL varying by site
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English
- Must be able to obtain Hazardous Material Endorsement which requires fingerprint background check from State
- Must be able to comply with DOT CDL requirements
- Appropriate manner, conduct, and grooming adhere to company policy
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance
- May be required to operate a forklift with appropriate certification(s)
Desired Qualifications
- At least five years heavy equipment technician experience, preferably in a dealership environment
- Caterpillar work experience
