Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician needed to diagnose, repair, recondition, overhaul and maintain customer and company heavy equipment and components. Responsibilities include preparing accurate service and inspection reports, determining reusability of parts, ordering parts, communicating with service writers and shop staff, and ensuring work meets warranty criteria. Must operate safely, maintain organized work areas, and stay current with tooling and systems developments. Requires HS diploma or GED; technical school in diesel/earthmoving repair preferred; 3 years’ heavy equipment repair experience and 1+ years in administrative and customer service roles. Compensation $30.00-$39.56/hour, with benefits and potential company-paid education and retirement plans. Location: Hobbs, NM (onsite in shop).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine or earthmoving repair preferred
- 3 years’ experience in heavy equipment, engine, or electric power generation system repair
- 1+ years administrative/clerical experience
- 1+ years customer service experience
