Job Summary
Experienced Shop Service Technician needed to diagnose, repair, overhaul, and recondition heavy equipment and components in a shop setting for Dobbs Equipment. Responsibilities include safety compliance, performance of repairs, inspections, parts and time tracking, supervision/mentoring of trainees, and completion of service reports. The role requires flexibility for extended hours, potential overtime, and occasional weekends/holidays, with possible travel for training up to 5%.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and operation
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely around shop
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift Certification (preferred)
- Bilingual (a plus)
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Stay current with technical changes
- Develop skills in disassembly, assembly and repair of components and machines
