Job Summary
Join Hi-Way Paving as a Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic, responsible for performing routine and major repairs on trucks, trailers, and heavy construction equipment. Duties include conducting preventative maintenance and inspections, maintaining an organized parts inventory, and running diagnostics to ensure efficient equipment operation. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of diesel mechanic experience, a valid driver's license, and physical capability for demanding tasks. Travel up to 100% of the time is required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to gain clearance for restricted/high-security zones
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be at least 18 years old
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with heavy construction equipment
- Valid CDL license with a hazmat endorsement
- ASE Diesel Certification
- Willingness to work nights and weekends when needed
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to travel overnight to job sites up to 100% of the time
