Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic responsible for preventative maintenance and service on all heavy mobile equipment, inspecting and diagnosing performance and safety issues, performing 1000- and 2000-hour services, training operators on 250/500-hour services, staying on-call to ensure uptime, and coordinating parts and repairs. Strong emphasis on safety, fault diagnosis, software diagnostics, fleet coordination, and leading a small team of mobile equipment operators in a quarry environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in diesel technology
- Basic math proficiency
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Basic principles of physics
- English at minimum, Spanish is a plus
- Professional written and oral communication
- Minimum 10 years field experience
- Driver’s license with clean driving record
