Job Summary
Heavy Equipment CDL Driver position at EquipmentShare in Ocala, FL. Primary responsibilities include operating a truck and trailer in compliance with state and federal laws, transporting loads safely, assisting with loading/unloading, maintaining shipping paperwork, performing routine truck service, and arranging yard logistics. Requires a Class A CDL or state-appropriate chauffeur’s license, ability to pass background/drug tests and a DOT physical, and to be 21+ with willingness to travel. Schedule is Mon-Fri 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime eligibility and on-call compensation; role is full-time with safety-sensitive requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated
- Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations
- Must pass DOT physical, as trucks driven are over 10k lbs
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
