Job Summary
Heavy Equipment CDL Driver at EquipmentShare in Montgomery, AL. Responsible for CDL delivery and transportation of equipment, operating vehicles in compliance with state and federal laws, loading/unloading equipment, maintaining shipping paperwork, and assisting with basic vehicle servicing. Must hold a Class A CDL or chauffeur’s license as applicable, pass required background checks and DOT medical/physical requirements, be at least 21, and be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Schedule is Monday–Friday with potential overtime after 40 hours and possible on-call compensation; role emphasizes safety, customer service, and efficient, real-time coordination of fleet and deliveries using the company’s technology platform.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license as appropriate for the vehicle weight
- Must pass background check and drug testing as required by federal/state DOT regulations
- Must pass DOT physical (truck weight over 10k lbs)
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds; ability to travel frequently
