Job Summary
Heavy Duty Wrecker Operator needed to respond to breakdowns and accidents, operate heavy-duty wreckers and flatbeds to tow vehicles, and provide professional roadside recovery services. Role requires customer-focused communication, adherence to DOT regulations, ability to complete accurate paperwork, perform basic maintenance, and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideal candidates will have CDL Class A, 2+ years of experience, high school diploma or equivalent, strong safety mindset, and mechanical aptitude; certifications such as WreckMaster or TRAA are preferred. The position is based in Lumberton, NC with a family-oriented team environment and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience operating heavy-duty wreckers
- CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good physical strength and agility
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- WreckMaster or TRAA certification (preferred)
- Mechanical aptitude for minor roadside repairs
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Ability to explain towing process and fees to customers professionally
- Experience with paperwork and reporting incidents
