Job Summary
Sell new and used medium- and heavy-duty trucks by prospecting daily via cold calling, networking, and digital outreach while meeting dealership objectives. Demonstrate vehicles to walk-in and call-in customers, highlighting features and performance before closing transactions and delivering trucks with warranty explanations. Prepare purchaser statements, sales orders, and documentation accurately; inspect trade-ins with the Service Manager and maintain outside sales call reports. Collaborate with Parts and Service teams to ensure customer needs are met, attend required training meetings, and participate in promotional events. Maintain current knowledge of truck specifications through continual study. Valid CDL, customer service skills, and ability to work evenings and weekends are required. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in an automobile sales position
- Minimum six (6) months of experience in a medium- or heavy-duty truck dealership
- Demonstrated cold calling and prospecting experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong sales and closing ability with a track record of meeting or exceeding objectives
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web applications
- Ability to use a CRM system effectively
- Working knowledge of the major components of Class A trucks, across multiple makes
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or other hours based on customer availability
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and remain on feet for extended periods
