Job Summary
Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers, including brakes, wheel ends, suspension, electrical systems, and air conditioning. Performs oil changes, preventative maintenance, and inspections; handles service documentation; conducts DOT inspections and ensures regulatory compliance; maintains a safe, organized shop and communicates repair needs and job status with management and team members. Requires experience with diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and use of shop equipment; CDL is a plus and a valid driver’s license is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in heavy duty truck and trailer repair preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial truck and trailer systems
- Experience with brakes, wheel ends, suspension, electrical, and diagnostics
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- CDL is a plus, if applicable
