Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical systems on semi-trucks and trailers, including brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, drivetrains, and electrical systems. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections, perform tire services, and operate diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues accurately. Respond to roadside service calls using a company service truck when required. Maintain detailed records of work performed and adhere to all safety guidelines, company policies, and DOT regulations. Assist with parts inventory and shop organization. Valid driver's license with clean driving record required; prior heavy truck mechanic experience preferred. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Must be able to lift/move tires and equipment (30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids)
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Willingness to work in varying conditions (weather, noise, physical demands)
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- trade school certification
- Prior experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet technician, or heavy truck mechanic
