Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including PM tasks and DOT inspections, brake jobs, brake chamber and slack adjuster replacement, wheel seal and wheel-end adjustments; document work orders and maintain accurate records; read technical manuals and follow instructions; demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and customer-service orientation; ensure safety protocols are followed and complete forms in a timely fashion; background check and drug screen required. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years diesel mechanic experience
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required (within 6 months of hire)
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
- Ability to read technical manuals and instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to accurately complete DOT forms and work orders
- Pass background check and drug screen
- Follow safety protocols and company policies
