Job Summary
Skilled Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer mechanics perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including PM tasks, DOT inspections, brake-related work, and completing associated paperwork. Responsibilities include performing inspections, brake job and components work (brake chamber, slack adjuster, wheel seals, wheel end), documenting tasks, completing DOT forms, and adhering to safety protocols. The role emphasizes reading technical manuals, problem-solving, customer-service orientation, and working in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ year of diesel mechanic experience
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required (within 6 months of hire)
