Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including PM inspections, brake work, wheel-end and brake chamber replacements, and related documentation. Examine system parts for damage or wear, follow safety protocols, and complete DOT forms and work orders in a timely manner. Requires 1+ year of diesel mechanic experience, a valid Class C CDL, and certification as a Brake Inspector (within 6 months of hire). Strong reading comprehension of technical manuals, problem-solving abilities, and customer-service orientation are needed to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to undergo background check and drug screen. Training and professional development are available, with opportunities for growth within the company.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year of diesel mechanic experience
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required (within 6 months of hire)
