Job Summary
Maintain and repair diverse equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy duty machinery, on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers. Troubleshoot and fix systems such as hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electronics, and engines while performing other tasks as requested. Operate standard or manual transmissions and power, pneumatic tools, and diagnostic equipment including scan tools and personal computers. Meet D.O.T requirements and hold a CDL, bending, stooping, and lifting equipment up to 70 pounds or moving packages up to 150 pounds. Work full-time 8-10 hours daily in variable temperatures and exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise.
Required Qualifications
- Current documented tractor shifter mechanic experience
- Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer
- Possess a full complement of personal hand tools
- Must have your own complete set of hand tools
- Must have experience completing repairs and or body work on trailer or dolly equipment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Must obtain within a year of hire
- U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S.
