Job Summary
Heavy Duty Technician for mobile equipment at Vanderwell’s Slave Lake facilities. Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining mobile equipment, operating mobile equipment for testing and transportation, operating a service truck at various yard locations, organizing parts and maintaining inventory levels, completing work orders and safety documentation, and keeping work areas clean. Requires Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certificate, 5+ years of related experience, and Class 5 driver’s license. Proficiency in safety protocols and communication skills; overtime may be required. Located in Slave Lake, Alberta; on-site shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certificate
- Class 5 Driver’s licence
- 5+ years of related experience
- Experience repairing and maintaining heavy mobile equipment (e.g. Caterpillar, Taylor)
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work overtime as needed
