Job Summary
Install, calibrate, inspect, maintain, and repair truck scales and industrial weighing systems at customer locations throughout the St. Louis region. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software issues using certified test weights and specialized equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, complete service reports and calibration certificates, and communicate repair recommendations to customers. Safely operate company vehicles, forklifts, skid steers, and other heavy machinery while adhering to OSHA and DOT safety procedures. Travel regionally with occasional overnight stays and participate in after-hours or weekend service calls as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Current CDL (Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement), or willingness and ability to obtain one
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and industrial environments
- Willingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays
- Basic computer skills for service documentation and reporting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience servicing industrial scales or weighing equipment
- Industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or field service experience
- Knowledge of NIST Handbook 44 and commercial weighing regulations
- Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, cranes, or other heavy equipment
- Experience with welding, fabrication, or industrial electrical systems
