Job Summary
The Heavy Duty Repair Technician role at Peterson Cat involves performing service activities primarily in the main service shop for customer and sales/rental fleet equipment. Responsibilities include analyzing and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, conducting repairs on engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and hydraulic components, maintaining safety procedures, documenting service activities accurately, and preparing work orders and parts lists. Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Diesel Technology or a related field, at least five years of relevant experience, and be willing to join Local 3 of the Operating Engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field
- Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment service
- Willingness to become a member of Local 3 of the Operating Engineers as a condition of employment
