Job Summary
The Heavy Duty Repair Technician performs service activities primarily in the main service shop for customer and sales and rental fleet equipment. Essential functions include maintaining a safe working environment, analyzing and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and performing repairs on engines, transmissions, and hydraulic components. The role requires accurate documentation of service reports, work orders, and parts lists, following guidelines to ensure quality work. Candidates must have an Associates Degree in Diesel Technology or related field, 5 years of heavy equipment service experience, and must be willing to join Local 3 of the Operating Engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field
- Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment service
- Must be a member of Local 3 of the Operating Engineers or be willing to become one as a condition of employment
