Job Summary
The Heavy Duty Repair Technician performs service activities primarily in the main service shop for customer and/or sales and rental fleet equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe working environment, communicating with customers, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, performing repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, hydraulic components, and electrical systems, documenting service activities, and following service guidelines to ensure quality work. Candidates should possess an Associates Degree in Diesel Technology and at least 5 years of experience in heavy equipment service, along with a willingness to join Local 3 of the Operating Engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field
- Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment service
- Must be a member of Local 3 of the Operating Engineers or willing to become one
