Job Summary
The Heavy Duty Repair Technician at Peterson Cat performs service activities primarily in the main service shop for customer and rental fleet equipment. Responsibilities include analyzing and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, repairing various components such as engines and hydraulic systems, maintaining a safe working environment, and communicating effectively with customers. A successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years in heavy equipment service and an Associates Degree in Diesel Technology or a related field, alongside mandatory membership in Local 3 of the Operating Engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment service
- Associates Degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field
- Must be a member of Local 3 of the Operating Engineers or be willing to become one as a condition of employment
