Job Summary
Lubricate, inspect, and monitor fluid levels on heavy-duty trucks, loaders, and excavators used on construction projects. Service engine, drivetrain, hydraulic, and cooling systems; clean, lube, and perform routine maintenance on equipment, tools, and work areas. Inspect incoming machinery for defects, service hoses for wear, and maintain detailed records of repairs, fuel logs, and service sheets. Operate equipment to perform maintenance, load and unload machinery, and ensure safe storage. Work 10-12 hour shifts including night rotations in extreme cold, heat, and inclement weather while adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid driver license
- Familiarity with repair and maintenance of construction equipment, machinery and tools
- Three years of job related experience with CAT Loaders, Dozers, graders, Volvo Rock Trucks, Hitachi Excavators and Various other Construction Equipment
- Must have own tools required to repair and maintain heavy equipment
- Cat 777F Experience preferred
- Class A CDL
- OSHA 10hr. Training
- MSHA certification
- Knowledge of and ability to use various construction equipment and tools
- Knowledge of proper lubrication of heavy equipment and hydraulics
- Knowledge of and ability to read and follow assembly and instruction manuals
- Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Knowledge of and ability repair equipment and follow related procedures
- Ability to assess and troubleshoot equipment failure
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Must be qualified to drive lube truck with knowledge of lube pumps, reels, and types of oils, filters and the mechanical knowledge of all types' equipment
- Ability to see and record written data and information
- Ability to communicate information in writing so others will understand
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally with others
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor
