Job Summary
Heavy Duty Mechanic role focusing on maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment. Performs work with limited supervision, may travel to customer sites for repairs, assists in training lower level technicians, maintains complete work documentation, and may assist with equipment and parts pick-up/delivery. Requires strong mechanical aptitude, tool knowledge, customer service skills, teamwork, and ability to lift up to 45 lbs; position is safety-sensitive.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
- Advanced mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Own tools applicable to position
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
- Safety sensitive role per employer policies
