Job Summary
Heavy Duty Mechanic/Mechanical Assembler to build and repair forestry equipment. Responsibilities include reading detailed assembly instructions, engineering diagrams and parts lists; using hand, power, and pneumatic tools; operating cranes for large assemblies; completing final machine assembly and installing/programming attachments; verifying equipment functions and adheres to quality standards; repairing or replacing defective assemblies and components. Skills needed include troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel systems; collaborating with coworkers; strong problem solving, adaptability and mechanical aptitude; experience with hydraulics, engines, electrical/electronic systems, and schematics; preferred training in heavy-duty equipment technician or related trades.
