Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job Summary

Conduct detailed inspections on heavy-duty machinery and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake adjustments, and fluid replacements, while repairing or replacing defective parts and components. Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and communicate clearly with team members regarding equipment status and repair timelines. Follow all safety procedures, keep work areas clean and organized, and contribute ideas to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of heavy-duty equipment repair experience
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must pass required pre-employment screening

Desired Qualifications

  • Heavy-duty mechanic certification (preferred)
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience
