Job Summary
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical parts for cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers, and other heavy equipment. Troubleshoot onboard computer systems, brakes, booms, and outriggers while collaborating with operators and fellow mechanics to ensure equipment safety and reliability. Manage branch resources throughout the maintenance lifecycle and work in construction sites, industrial facilities, and maintenance shops. Requires current CDL, 3+ years diesel maintenance experience, and ability to work day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in diesel maintenance with proven troubleshooting skills
- Must work safely in a fast-paced environment – many times under pressure
- Experienced with Cummins and CAT diesel engines and systems
- Experience in gasoline and propane engines
- Proven ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Must have current CDL
- Willing to work day and or night shifts, weekends and holidays
- Must pass drug test, fit for duty test and background check
- Have basic computer skills, Excel skills, and the ability to work with digital record keeping
