Job Summary
Diagnose problems, perform repairs, and provide preventative maintenance service on material handling equipment at customer sites. Execute preventive maintenance and Lift Device inspections on forklifts, stackers, electric carts, and transporters using electronic manuals, digital voltage meters, and diagnostic software. Utilize wiring diagrams to diagnose electrical components and ensure all work is verified before returning the truck clean and operational. Maintain a clean work area free of debris, oil, and grease. Requires a valid driver's license, provincial propane license, and 3-5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience. Offers a stable Monday-Friday schedule with a competitive hourly rate between $38 and $43.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma and/or completion of a trade school certification or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years' experience as an auto, forklift, heavy equipment or truck and coach mechanic
- A valid driver's license
- Experience repairing Toyota Products preferred
- A valid driver's license and provincial propane license (ICE-IE-P or ICE-P)
- Power Lift Truck License (PLT)
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems of battery and Internal Combustion powered material handling equipment
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles
- Knowledge of the use of hand tools and measuring devices
- Knowledge of the use of electrical/electronic diagnostic tools/measurements
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced and changing environment
- Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience repairing Toyota Products preferred
- Power Lift Truck License (PLT) is preferred
