Job Summary
Heavy Duty Mechanic to install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair a wide variety of fleet vehicles and heavy equipment. Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining electrical wiring, hydraulic systems, tires, and gas/diesel engine diagnostics; estimating repair times and material costs, requisitioning parts; completing repair documentation; collaborating with coworkers and other departments; adhering to safety procedures and regulations; maintaining a clean, safe work environment; and working nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Requires Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification, 5+ years experience preferred, valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence, pre-employment drug and alcohol testing; camp experience and OFA Level 1/WHMIS assets are considered; strong communication skills and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
