Job Summary
Maintain and repair specialized pressure and vacuum equipment, troubleshoot diagnostics, and replace defective parts while performing preventative maintenance on company tools. Execute MIG, stick, torch, and plasma welding techniques to fabricate fixtures, tooling, and shop aids, ensuring weld quality and adhering to safety protocols. Support continuous improvement programs and maintain equipment records and repair history. Requires a valid Class 5 license, 5+ years of mechanical/fabrication shop experience, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Includes year-round Monday-to-Friday work with intermittent onsite travel and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working in an environment such as a mechanical/fabrication shop, on a farm, or in a similar industry where you have been repairing equipment, building structures based on design, or building custom features for equipment
- Valid Class 5 license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years
- MIG and stick welding
- experience with torch and plasma cutting
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test for both pre-employment and client sites you may have to attend
- Continuous year round employment working Monday to Friday with the opportunity and necessity of overtime and some weekend work
Desired Qualifications
- The ability to get your 3A License, enabling road testing and movement of units wherever required
- Class 1 or 3 license
- Experience with Insight and other diagnostic equipment and programming
- An understanding of production processes, welding equipment and fabrication equipment such as a band saw, chop saw, grinders, overhead crane, forklift etc
- General familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Fitting skills and creative thinking
